Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a fast-paced café / bar fit-out project within a live educational environment in Berkshire.

The role is with a specialist design & build fit-out contractor known for delivering high-quality commercial interiors across sectors including hospitality, workplace, and education. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering bespoke, design-led spaces, combining creativity with practical construction expertise to deliver projects to a high specification.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the fit-out works, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard within a live environment.

Given the nature of the site, you will need to be confident working in occupied / sensitive environments, maintaining professionalism and ensuring minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

  * Manage all on-site activities for the café / bar fit-out

  * Coordinate subcontractors and trades

  * Ensure works are delivered in line with programme and specification

  * Maintain high levels of health & safety compliance

  * Oversee quality control and finishing standards

  * Liaise with client representatives and project stakeholders

  * Manage site logistics within a live environment

  * Ensure smooth project delivery through to completion

Requirements

  * Proven experience as a Site Manager on fit-out projects

  * Experience working in live or occupied environments (education / commercial beneficial)

  * Strong organisational and communication skills

Essential:

  * SMSTS (in date)

  * CSCS Card

  * First Aid at Work

  * DBS Check (required due to site environment)
