Site Manager – New Build Housing Development
📍 Cheshire
💰 up to £65,000 per year + Car Allowance + Benefits
🕒 Full-time | Permanent

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the on-site delivery of a new build residential housing development in Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing construction or housebuilding company and take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a live residential site.

You will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities run smoothly, safely, and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and meeting programme deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Manage the day-to-day operations of a new build housing development

  * 

    Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site staff

  * 

    Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with health & safety regulations

  * 

    Monitor build progress and ensure the construction programme is maintained

  * 

    Maintain quality standards and ensure all work meets required specifications and building regulations

  * 

    Conduct regular site inspections and toolbox talks

  * 

    Manage site logistics, materials, and deliveries

  * 

    Liaise with Project Managers, technical teams, and external stakeholders

  * 

    Ensure plots are delivered on time for inspection, completion, and handover

Requirements

  * 

    Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential construction or housebuilding

  * 

    Experience delivering new build housing developments

  * 

    Strong knowledge of UK construction processes, NHBC standards, and building regulations

  * 

    Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades on site

  * 

    Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

  * 

    SMSTS certification (essential)

  * 

    CSCS card and First Aid certification

  * 

    Full UK driving licence
