Job Description

Artisan Recruit are working with a well-established building contractor on the South Coast to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a 2-year refurbishment project in Portsmouth.

This project involves the conversion of an existing office block into residential apartments, requiring strong refurbishment and coordination experience.

Site Manager must have strong IT skills, with experience using construction management and reporting software.

Key Responsibilities

  * Manage day-to-day site operations on a large-scale refurbishment project

  * Oversee the conversion of the office building into 191 apartments

  * Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and trades to ensure smooth workflow

  * Ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard

  * Enforce health & safety regulations across the site

  * Monitor progress and report to senior management

  * Maintain site documentation and ensure compliance with company procedures

Requirements

  * Must be computer literate

  * Valid CSCS Site Manager card

  * Proven experience delivering refurbishment or conversion projects

  * Experience managing large-scale residential or mixed-use developments (desirable)

  * Strong background in coordinating multiple trades and site teams

  * Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
