Job Description

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Site Manager on a 10 month contract based Moray.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical infrastructure, transmission, or substation construction projects and be capable of managing site operations safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  * Manage day-to-day site activities on substation projects up to 400kV.

  * Ensure all works are carried out safely and in compliance with company and client procedures.

  * Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.

  * Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.

  * Monitor programme progress and report to project management teams.

  * Ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.

  * Maintain accurate site records and documentation.

  * Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.

Requirements:

  * Proven experience as a Site Manager on HV substation projects (up to 400kV preferred).

  * Valid CSCS Card.

  * Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.

  * Valid CAT 1 Substation Clearance.

  * Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  * Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  * Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  * National Grid or transmission network experience.

  * Temporary Works awareness/coordinator training.

  * IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications.

  * Experience working on major infrastructure or energy projects.
