Job Description

Freelance Site Manager Location: Wells, Somerset Contract Duration: 3 working days – Friday 12th June, Monday 15th June, and Tuesday 16th June Rate: Competitive daily rate (DOE) We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to provide short-term cover on a busy new-build residential development in Wells, Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with a strong background in volume housebuilding to oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure works continue safely and efficiently during the cover period. Key Responsibilities: Managing daily site activities and coordinating subcontractors Maintaining high standards of health and safety compliance Monitoring programme progress and addressing any on-site issues Conducting site inspections and ensuring quality standards are achieved Liaising with the wider project team to ensure continuity of operations Keeping accurate site records and reporting as required Requirements: Previous experience as a Site Manager within the residential construction sector Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work certifications Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work independently and make informed decisions Proven track record of delivering high standards of quality and safety on live construction sites About the Developer: Our client is one of the UK's most established residential developers, recognised for delivering thoughtfully designed communities across the country.
