Job Description

Site Manager – Roofing Refurbishment Project

Birmingham

Freelance | £250 - £320 per day

Start: 8th June | Until 26th October

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a live roofing refurbishment project in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an all-round Site Manager who is confident running their own projects from start to finish and is comfortable working in a client-facing environment.

Project Overview

The project is based at a live education facility and will involve:

  * Full strip-off of existing roof back to VCL

  * Making the roof watertight

  * Roof insulation works

  * Re-roofing with UPVC

  * Fascia installation

  * Air conditioning unit installation

Scaffolding works will begin immediately and run for approximately the first 3–4 weeks.

Requirements

Successful candidates must have:

  * Proven experience managing their own construction projects

  * Strong all-round construction knowledge

  * Experience working within live environments

  * Excellent communication and client-facing skills

  * Professional appearance and attitude

  * Ability to liaise confidently with school representatives and stakeholders

Essential Qualifications:

  * SMSTS

  * First Aid at Work

  * DBS Check

Our client is particularly interested in Site Managers from regional contractors rather than Tier 1 backgrounds, although candidates from larger businesses will still be considered if they have independently delivered projects from start to finish rather than operating purely as package managers.
