Plymouth
£65,000-£68,000 & Package
Permanent, Full-Time
Sphere Solutions are working in partnership with a leading national house builder to recruit an experienced Site Manager to join a major residential development in Plymouth, on a steel frame project.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established developer with a strong pipeline of work and high-quality projects across the South West.
Key Responsibilities
  * Manage day-to-day site operations on a steel frame apartment development
  * Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site teams
  * Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to programme
  * Maintain high standards of quality control and workmanship throughout the project
  * Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with building regulations and company standards
  * Monitor progress against programme and report on site activities
  * Ensure materials, labour, and plant resources are effectively coordinated
  * Chair and attend site meetings with subcontractors and stakeholders
  * Maintain excellent health & safety standards and site compliance
  * Liaise with technical, commercial, and customer care departments as required
  * Manage snagging, inspections, and handover processes
Candidate Requirements
  * Proven experience as a Site Manager, preferably with steel frame experience.
  * Strong understanding of construction sequencing and programme management.
  * Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades on busy construction sites.
  * Excellent health & safety knowledge and site management capability.
  * SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid at Work is essential.
