Job Description

Freelance No.2 Site Manager - Industrial Build Project

Huntingdon
Start Date: End of September
Duration: 8 Months
Competitive Day Rate

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading main contractor for an experienced No.2 Site Manager to support the delivery of a £9m new build industrial development in Huntingdon.

Candidates based in the Huntingdon or Cambridge area would be ideally located for this project.

The Project

Working alongside the Project Manager, you will assist in delivering a new build industrial unit, including:

Groundworks and foundations
Structural steel frame
External envelope
Industrial fit-out
Office fit-out, including M&E installations

Key Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager with the day-to-day running of the site
Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard
Monitor Health & Safety, quality and site progress
Assist with programme management, sequencing and logistics
Maintain accurate site records and reporting
Liaise with commercial, technical and design teams throughout the build

Requirements

Previous experience as a Site Manager or No.2 Site Manager on industrial or commercial new build projects
Strong understanding of steel frame construction and industrial developments
SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential)
Temporary Works Coordinator and Fire Marshal qualifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Experience using Procore would be advantageous
Must have access to a laptop and mobile phone
