Job Description

Site Manager - Industrial Build Projects

Woking
Competitive Day Rate
Freelance Contract

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established main contractor for an experienced No.2 Site Manager to join the team on a £10m new build industrial development in Woking.

The Project

You'll be supporting the Project Manager on the delivery of a new build industrial unit, comprising:

Groundworks and foundations
Structural steel frame
External envelope
Industrial fit-out
Office fit-out, including M&E installations

Responsibilities

Supporting the Project Manager with the day-to-day running of site
Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely and to programme
Monitoring quality, progress and Health & Safety compliance
Assisting with programme management and site logistics
Managing daily site records and reporting
Working closely with the commercial and technical teams throughout delivery

Requirements

Previous experience as a Site Manager or No.2 Site Manager on industrial or commercial new build projects
Strong knowledge of steel frame construction and industrial developments
SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential)
Temporary Works Coordinator and Fire Marshal certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Experience using Procore is highly desirable
Must have access to a laptop and mobile phone
