Job Description

My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Manager to help deliver a water infrastructure scheme in Blackpool, with an immediate start available. This is a 6-month contract involving tunnelling and shaft construction, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with a strong underground civils background.

The role is 7:00am – 7:00pm, and candidates must be flexible to work weekends when required to meet the project programme.

Site Manager Responsibilities:

  * Toolbox talks

  * Client liaison

  * Stakeholder liaison

  * Health and safety compliance

  * Ordering materials

  * Managing day-to-day site operations

  * Supervising subcontractors and site teams

  * Managing the delivery of tunnelling, shaft sinking, and associated civil engineering works

  * Ensuring works are delivered on programme and to specification

  * Managing site documentation, RAMS, permits, and temporary works

  * Overseeing quality control, inspections, and site records

  * Supporting the Project Manager with programme delivery and client reporting

Site Manager Requirements:

  * Black or Gold CSCS

  * SMSTS

  * Previous experience managing water infrastructure schemes

  * Experience delivering tunnelling, shaft sinking, deep excavations, or other underground civil engineering projects

  * Strong civil engineering background

  * Flexible to work 7:00am – 7:00pm and weekends when required

  * IT literate

  * Full UK driving licence
