Job Description

Our Client are looking for a site manager to manage a new build residential project in Colchester, this is an initial 12 week temporary role leading to a permanent contract on successful 12 week duration    The Site Manager will deliver a high-quality, new-build residential care home from inception to handover. You will maintain full site ownership, ensuring the project remains on schedule, within budget, and compliant with all safety and sector-specific building standards. Key Responsibilities Trade & Subcontractor Management: Manage and coordinate all trades on-site, aligning workflows to maintain strict build schedules. Site Health & Safety: Act as the principal safety officer on-site, enforcing strict health, safety, and environmental regulations. Quality Control: Oversee the standard of workmanship, making sure materials and finishes match design specifications. Progress Reporting: Provide routine updates to the Project Manager and contracts team regarding material variations and timeline milestones. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all works comply with Building Regulations, NHBC/Premier standards, and specific healthcare layout designs. ️ Required Qualifications & Experience SMSTS: Valid Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate is mandatory. NVQ Level 6: Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management (or equivalent degree) is required. First Aid at Work: Valid 3-day First Aid qualification. CSCS Card: Valid Black Manager CSCS Card. Experience: Proven history of managing all on-site trades simultaneously. Sector Expertise: Prior experience delivering new build care homes or high-end retirement living developments is highly preferred. To apply please send your cv in response to this advert
