Traditional Build Site Manager - Blackburn
Fawkes & Reece are working with a well-established housebuilder to recruit an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of a 115-unit traditional build residential development in Blackburn.
You will play a key role within the project, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and overall delivery of the development. You will be responsible for ensuring plots progress safely, efficiently and in line with the agreed programme, quality standards and company specification.
Previous experience delivering traditional-build housing is essential and non-negotiable for this role. You must have a strong understanding of traditional housebuilding methods, construction sequencing and the management of multiple plots through to completion and handover.
Experience managing programmes from foundations through to handover is essential to ensure the smooth running of the development, while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Duties
Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the development.
Coordinate subcontractors, labour, materials and plant to ensure the site progresses in line with the agreed programme.
Monitor progress across multiple plots and ensure construction milestones are achieved on time.
Manage the full traditional housebuilding process from foundations through to completion and handover.
Oversee brickwork, roofing, first and second fix, external works, finishing works and final handover.
Monitor construction quality and workmanship to ensure all works meet the required specification and company standards.
Maintain and enforce high standards of health and safety across the development.
Work closely with the wider project and site management team to identify and resolve issues affecting programme, quality or delivery.
Ensure subcontractors and site operatives are effectively coordinated and working to the required standards.
Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks throughout the build process.
Complete and maintain all required site and project documentation accurately and up to date.
Manage health & safety documentation, inspection records, quality assurance checks, material and subcontractor records, and regular progress reporting.
Ensure the development remains fully compliant and well documented from start to finish.
Drive the successful completion and handover of plots while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Previous experience delivering traditional build housing is essential
Must be able to provide references confirming relevant traditional build experience.
Strong knowledge and understanding of health & safety requirements.
Proven experience managing multiple plots from foundations through to completion and handover.
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
