Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a three-week programme of night works on a major civils and highways project.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the safe and efficient management of site operations throughout the night shift, coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant and materials to ensure works are delivered to programme and specification.

Key Responsibilities

  * Take overall responsibility for the night-time site operations.

  * Manage and coordinate subcontractors, site teams and specialist trades.

  * Oversee civils, structural/frame and highways-related works.

  * Ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, RAMS and specifications.

  * Monitor progress and drive the programme throughout the shift.

  * Manage site logistics, deliveries, plant and workforce requirements.

  * Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks.

  * Maintain excellent health & safety standards at all times.

  * Liaise with the Project Manager and wider management team.

  * Complete site diaries, progress updates and relevant project documentation.

  * Identify and resolve any issues that could affect programme or safety.

  * Ensure the site is properly prepared and handed over for the following shift.

Requirements

  * Proven Site Management experience within civils and/or highways.

  * Experience managing night works is highly desirable.

  * Strong understanding of construction site processes and health & safety.

  * Confident managing subcontractors and multiple site activities.

  * Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  * SMSTS – Essential

  * CSCS – Essential

  * First Aid – Essential
