Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to provide short-term cover on a busy residential development in Taunton.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring works continue safely, efficiently and to programme while working closely with subcontractors and the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

  * Take responsibility for the day-to-day site management.

  * Coordinate subcontractors, trades, labour and deliveries.

  * Monitor progress and ensure works remain on programme.

  * Maintain high standards of health & safety and quality.

  * Ensure RAMS and site procedures are followed.

  * Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks.

  * Manage site logistics and sequencing of works.

  * Liaise with the Project Manager and wider construction team.

  * Maintain accurate site records, diaries and reports.

  * Resolve any day-to-day site issues promptly.

Requirements

  * Previous residential housebuilding experience – Essential

  * Proven Site Manager experience.

  * Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management.

  * Confident managing subcontractors and multiple trades.

  * SMSTS – Essential

  * CSCS – Essential

  * First Aid – Essential
