£4.5m School Extension | Regional Main Contractor
We're working with a well-established regional main contractor to recruit a Site Manager for a new £4.5 million school extension project in Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company known for delivering high-quality education and public sector projects across the South West.
The Role
As Site Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading all site activities on a live school environment, managing subcontractors, enforcing health & safety compliance, and driving the project forward to completion. This is a fast-paced scheme with strong logistical and stakeholder coordination requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day site management and coordination

Managing site logistics on a live school site
*
Health & Safety enforcement and compliance (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid required)
*
Liaising with the client, project team, and local stakeholders
*
Ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met
