Site Manager
Cambridge | Tier 1 Main Contractor
£55,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Bonus
Ridgeway & Co are working with one of the UK's leading Main Contractors, as they look to appoint a Site Manager to join their expanding Cambridge team. With a strong presence across the education, healthcare, commercial, and residential sectors, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with a secure pipeline of projects and a reputation for quality.
The Role
As a Site Manager, you'll be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations and ensuring smooth delivery of live projects. You’ll work closely with the project and commercial teams to manage subcontractors, uphold health & safety, and maintain high-quality standards on site.
Key Responsibilities
*
Oversee daily site activities and ensure compliance with programme and safety standards
*
Manage subcontractor performance and logistics
*
Maintain H&S protocols (RAMS, inductions, site inspections)
*
Ensure works are delivered to spec and to the highest quality
*
Report on progress and work closely with senior site and project managers
*
Assist with snagging and handover process
Requirements
*
Previous experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor
*
Strong organisational and leadership skills
*
Background in delivering new build or refurbishment schemes
*
SMSTS, CSCS (Gold or Black), and First Aid qualifications essential
*
A proactive, hands-on approach to managing construction delivery
