Job Description
Site Manager – Office Build – Portlaoise
We are currently partnering with a Tier 1 Main Contractor with bases across Ireland who are in the process of a €6,000,000 office build in Portlaoise. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Site Manager with experience in both internals and externals to join the project as an all rounder and ensure timely delivery.
Responsibilities
* Daily Site Supervision Across Internals & Externals:
Oversee day-to-day management of internal fit-out works (partitions, ceilings, M&E coordination, finishes) and external packages (facades, hard landscaping, envelope works). Ensure productivity, safety, and quality across all trades.
* Coordination of Subcontractors & Interfaces:
Manage and sequence multiple subcontractors working concurrently on-site. Hold daily briefings, coordinate works across zones, and ensure smooth interface between internal and external teams to avoid delays or rework.
* Programme Management & Lookahead Planning:
Support the project manager by monitoring construction progress against the programme. Develop short-term lookaheads, flag potential delays, and implement recovery measures where needed.
* Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring:
Ensure all works comply with design drawings, specifications, and building regulations. Conduct regular quality inspections, manage snagging lists, and ensure correct sign-off procedures are followed for each phase.
* Health, Safety & Environmental Leadership:
Champion site safety in accordance with PSCS duties and company HSE policies. Carry out toolbox talks, ensure RAMS are implemented, and maintain a clean and compliant site across all work zones.
Requirements
Must have previous experience looking at both internals and externals
Must have previous Commercial build experience
Must be based within commutable distance of Portlaoise
