Key Responsibilities
- Programme Management: Develop and adhere to detailed project programmes, ensuring timely progress reporting through tools such as Gantt charts and project management software for effective site management.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the site team, offering guidance, motivation, and support to achieve project goals while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Deadline Adherence: Implement strategies to influence site progress, ensuring programme deadlines are consistently met and adjusted as necessary.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with clients and subcontractors through regular meetings, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving.
- SHEQ Compliance: Maintain high standards of quality, environmental, and health & safety compliance by conducting regular site inspections and audits.
- Best Practice Implementation: Continuously enhance industry knowledge through professional development and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Policy Adherence: Follow the Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Additional Tasks: Undertake any other tasks commensurate with the role, including potential involvement in training and mentoring junior staff.
Your Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- Educational Background: A degree in Construction Engineering and Management or equivalent is required. Additional certifications in project management or related fields are advantageous.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a similar role, with a strong focus on residential builds and a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and project management software such as MS Project or Primavera is essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are crucial, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Certifications: Valid site cards, including CSCS and SMSTS, and a full driving license are essential.
