Overview:
My client isseeking an experienced Site Manager to join a school development project in Surrey. The role involves managing and overseeing finishing works from post-first-fix through to final handover. You will ensure high-quality standards are maintained across all internal areas, including classrooms, student bedrooms, communal spaces, and catering facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Take over from the main construction and first-fix stage, coordinating all finishing works
Manage and monitor subcontractors carrying out carpentry, decorating, flooring, ceiling, and final M&E finishes
Oversee installation of fixtures and fittings including doors, ironmongery, flooring, lighting, and furnishings
Inspect and snag completed areas, ensuring defects are logged, tracked, and closed out promptly
Work closely with the site manager, project manager, and trades to deliver on programme and to spec
Ensure health & safety compliance and maintain a clean, orderly working environment
Maintain a proactive approach to resolving site issues and delivering a high-quality finish throughoutRequirements:
Proven experience as a Finishing Manager or Internals Site Manager on similar school or residential projects
Strong knowledge of construction finishes and sequencing
Excellent eye for detail and ability to identify and manage snagging works
CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid
Strong communication and coordination skillsBefore You Apply
