Job Description
Site Manager – Hospital – South Dublin
We are currently partnering with a Tier 1 Main Contractor with bases across Ireland who have seen success across a number of projects. Due to continued success, there is currently now the need for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the internals package on a hospital consultancy room build.
Responsibilities
Coordination of Builders Works & Structural Alterations
Manage all builders works in connection with services (BWIC), including core drilling, structural openings, pad foundations, lintels, and slab penetrations. Ensure works are sequenced and executed to structural engineer specifications and hospital standards.
Management of Internal Groundworks & Drainage
Oversee civils packages including internal drainage, under-slab services, trenching, backfilling, and concrete works. Ensure correct falls, pipe alignments, and waterproofing measures in line with healthcare infection control requirements.
Concrete Works & Structural Compliance
Supervise minor structural modifications such as internal foundations, blockwork walls, plinths for medical equipment, and any concrete upstands or machine bases. Ensure quality of finish and curing times align with programme constraints.
Temporary Works & Access Coordination
Manage installation and certification of any required temporary works, internal propping, hoardings, ramps, or hospital-safe access platforms. Liaise with TWC (Temporary Works Coordinator) and ensure all access routes meet live-site safety protocols.
Compliance with Health & Safety / Infection Control in Live Hospital Environments
Implement strict segregation of civils works from clinical areas. Manage dust suppression, noise control, and safe disposal of spoil and materials in compliance with HSE infection control guidelines and hospital policies.
Requirements
Must have 10+ years’ in a similar role preferably on similar projects
Must have great communication skills both written and oral
Must have relevant degree level qualification or equivalent trades’ background
Must have strong experience on internals packages
