Our Client, specialises in the design, installation, and maintenance of structured cabling and fibre optic infrastructure. They provide end-to-end solutions, from initial concept and design through to project delivery. Servicing a wide range of clients, including government departments, educational institutions, healthcare, and correctional facilities
With over 26 years in the industry, handling projects of all sizes from single outlets to large-scale, multi-site installations. The company’s industry focus is Critical infrastructure for modern businesses requiring high-speed connectivity and robust data transfer capabilities.
The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing structured cabling projects across various sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, and industrial environments, this role will ensure successful delivery of project on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Management of daily site operations to ensure structured cabling installations meet project plans and specifications. Lead site teams (Engineers and Subcontractors), maintaining high standards of work and professionalism along with coordinate with Project Managers, clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and workflow.
Ensuring compliance with health & safety laws, company policies, and industry best practices (e.g., RAMS, CDM), as well as maintaining documentation and reporting to track progress, budgets, planning, and forecasting. Participate in required training to achieve necessary accreditations and qualifications for the role.
Duties in this role (but not limited to):
1. To oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring structured cabling installations are delivered according to project plans and specifications.
Manage project timelines, identify risks and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
Ensure that all equipment and materials are available and fit for use on site.
2. To lead site teams including Engineers and Subcontractors, maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism.
Perform quality checks and testing of installed cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Fibre Optics, etc.).
3. Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
Liaise with the commissioning team to ensure systems are correctly configured and tested.
4. Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, company policies, and industry best practices (including RAMS, CDM, etc.).
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and regular site inspections.
5. To ensure the relevant documentation is in place and reporting is carried out to enable the management of (and inform the business on) progress, budgets, accurate planning and forecasting.
Maintain accurate site records including progress reports, materials usage, site diaries and incident reports.
6. To participate in training that the company may from time to time, to achieve accreditations and qualifications deemed essential for the fulfilment of duties.

Full valid UK driving licence
Eligible to work in the UKQualifications:
The following qualifications are beneficial to this role.
Valid CSCS or ECS card.
SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
First Aid certification.
IPAF / PASMA / Asbestos Awareness.
NVQ or equivalent in data cabling or electrical installation.Experience:
Proven experience in site management within the structured cabling or wider data communications industry.
Strong understanding of structured cabling standards (BS EN, TIA/EIA, etc.).
Familiar with cable containment systems (tray, trunking, basket, conduit).
Knowledge of testing and certification procedures (Fluke DTX/DSX preferred).
Experience with AutoCAD or Visio for basic site layout interpretation
Experience of health and safety requirements. Skills:
Strong leadership skills and the ability to listen.
Strong technical knowledge of structured cabling systems.
Good IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office and site reporting toolsPackage Benefits:
