Site Manager – Roofing & Cladding Package (Flagship Data Centre Project)
Location: Newport
Duration: 3 Years (with potential for further phases)
Package: Above Market Rate + Excellent Long-Term Opportunity
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading contractor delivering a major data centre project in Newport, and we're looking for an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of the roofing and cladding package across several ancillary buildings on site.
The Role:
Reporting to the Lead Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of roofing and cladding works to a high standard, ensuring programme milestones, safety, and quality are maintained. This is a key position on a large-scale, high-profile scheme on behalf of a major end-client, offering excellent long-term career potential.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Manage roofing and cladding works across multiple buildings
*
Coordinate subcontractors and site logistics to meet programme deadlines
*
Ensure works are delivered in line with design specifications and safety standards
*
Maintain a strong presence on site, ensuring quality control and resolving issues proactively
*
Work closely with the Lead PM, wider site team, and client-side representatives
Requirements:
*
Proven experience managing roofing and/or cladding packages on commercial projects
*
Strong understanding of building envelopes, sequencing, and interface with other trades
*
Able to work to tight deadlines with excellent organisational skills
*
SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential)
*
Excellent communication and leadership skills
