The Danny Sullivan Group is currently looking for a Site Manager to join a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor working across various sites within a 50-mile radius of Merseyside.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver complex projects in the Civils and Water sectors, supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure as part of a trusted and established team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring safety, quality, environmental compliance, and commercial performance are maintained across multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for the delivery of various civil and water sector projects to required standards, deadlines, and budgets.
Lead site teams including Sub Agents, Engineers, and Foremen to ensure safe, efficient, and defect-free delivery.
Oversee the implementation of project documentation including Project Plans, RAMS, ITPs, and Safe Systems of Work.
Monitor and maximise the commercial performance of contracts, ensuring cost control, value engineering, and accurate site records.
Manage project construction programmes, including short-term lookahead planning.
Liaise with procurement to ensure resources are in place to meet delivery targets.
Act as the client representative on site, maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders.
Produce accurate internal and external reports, including monthly progress updates and weekly site meeting documentation.Experience & Qualifications:
Significant experience in Civil Engineering, Water, or Utilities projects, ideally in highly regulated environments.
Proven track record of managing subcontractors on packages over £1m in value.
Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations, NEC/JCT contracts, risk management, and programme control.
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
CSCS (Site Manager level), SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and construction programming tools.
Demonstrated leadership, team management, and client communication skills.
Able to produce and implement Safe Systems of Work and short-term programmes.Desirable:
