We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Site Manager to join our dynamic projects team. You will work closely with the Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction sites, ensuring projects run smoothly, on schedule, and comply with all health and safety standards. This role is ideal for a proactive individual seeking to develop their site management career within a supportive and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities * Support the Project Manager in the day-to-day running of construction sites, including preparing weekly progress reports and identifying potential challenges early. * Provide hands-on support to fitters and subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow and build progress. * Assist in managing project schedules and budgets, ensuring work is delivered to the highest quality standards. * Conduct regular site safety inspections and compile health and safety reports for submission to the main contractor. * Coordinate subcontractor activities to guarantee timely completion of tasks and effectively communicate with trades to resolve any on-site delays. * Manage site logistics, including scheduling deliveries and liaising with the main contractor to ensure seamless operations. * Maintain accurate checklists of materials and equipment to ensure proper loading, transport, and site availability. * Perform rigorous quality checks on materials and workmanship, ensuring standards are consistently met. * Conduct site surveys and attend project start-up meetings alongside the Project Manager as required. * Willingness to travel to sites outside of London and work occasional evenings or weekends when necessary. * Oversee final quality control inspections of installations prior to client or main contractor handover, securing sign-off. * Take a proactive approach to problem prevention and swiftly address any issues that arise. Required Skills & Competencies * Solid understanding of building and construction processes. * Strong time management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively. * Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a variety of stakeholders. * Demonstrated initiative and strong problem-solving capabilities. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software. * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
