Job Description

HDD & Outfall Lead – Teesside (Carbon Capture & Storage Project)
Location: Redcar (Middlesbrough) | Competitive Day Rate | Outside IR35 | 12 Months

Ceto Talent are supporting a major Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) project in Teesside and are looking for an experienced HDD & Outfall Lead to support delivery of a critical landfall package.

This is a key role working across onshore and offshore interface works, focused on the successful execution of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and nearshore/outfall activities within a complex infrastructure programme.

The Role

You will take responsibility for managing the HDD scope from planning through to execution and completion, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  * Managing HDD subcontractors, including progress, technical and risk review meetings

  * Overseeing site activities from mobilisation through to drilling, testing and demobilisation

  * Reviewing and coordinating design documentation, installation procedures and as-built records

  * Acting as the key interface across engineering, HSE, quality and project stakeholders

  * Leading reporting into installation and project review meetings

  * Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, safety and project requirements

What we’re looking for

  * Proven experience delivering HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) construction scopes

  * Background in landfall, nearshore or offshore-to-onshore interface works

  * Strong experience managing subcontractors and site operations

  * Ability to review technical documentation, installation methods and delivery plans

  * Comfortable in a site-based, high-responsibility role

Contract Details

  * Location: Redcar (Teesside) – site-based

  * Duration: 12 months

  * Rate: Competitive day rate

  * IR35: Outside

  * Start: ASAP
