Morson Talent are working on behalf of a major player within the Energy Sector who have a current (contract) requirement for a motivated Site Operations - Accommodation Delivery Lead to join their established site-based team in Somerset. The Opportunity
The Site Operations Accommodation Delivery Lead will be responsible for the delivery and implementation of the HPC campus services, contract and accommodation information service for the local area.
They will have responsibility for ensuring the efficient delivery of a singular but substantial support service in accordance with all safety, quality time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the construction project.
The Accommodation Delivery Lead will provide technical input and advice for their scope of work - and may be involved in all stages of the strategy, procurement, planning, implementation, contract management and operation of their key service and contract area.
Further responsibilities will include the development, reviewing and amendment of policies and procedures that underpin strategy and delivery within their work area
The postholder may also be called upon to help prepare detailed specifications, in support of the in-contract procurement process.
Broad overview:
The role holder will provide the strategic and operational planning for the delivery of all hotel services at the HPC campus sites including Hinkley Campus (510 bedrooms), Sedgemoor Campus (986 bedrooms) and Brean Sands (circa 900 rooms).
The role will also have responsibility for future accommodation provision and locations as the project evolves.
Hotel services includes management of the accommodation bedrooms, restaurants, bars, conferences and events and leisure facilities. (The hotel services generate an income from sales to offset the costs of delivery).
Key responsibilities will include the operation of all campus facilities to achieve financial and commercial targets whilst ensuring compliance arrangements throughout the project lifecycle. Engages and manages the relationship with key stakeholders and customers to monitor and improve the services delivered.
Accountabilities:
Manage day to day the provision of a critical site support campus service to guests staying as part of the construction workforce of circa 11,000 requiring overnight accommodation
Manage and be directly responsible for a specific service contract valued at circa £70m [full project lifecycle]
Be accountable for ensuring all statutory, regulatory and site controls are complied with
Form effective relationships with their service contract partner and champion clarity, respect, positivity, humility and integrity
Ensure the contract partners team are fully competent to perform their assigned roles - and that any shortfalls are reported to the Service Manager without delay
Develop and implement plans to ensure service delivery meets or exceeds the expectations and project work schedule
Ensure early intervention to avoid any escalation of issues affecting service delivery by working in the spirit of a 'one team approach'
Define the work scope to be delivered within the campus contract or package of work and the interfaces with all other elements of the project.
Anticipate and resolve any issues arising with the campus contract for package of works and services, identifying risks and facilitating their resolution or escalate to service manager
Support the preparation of monthly reports for each work stream including safety performance, performance against SLAs, performance against KPIs, financial reporting, project forecasting and forward planning
Address campus technical and service delivery concerns and develop solutions for approval.
Co-ordinate the delivery of campus services and play a key role in managing the process to include:
o safety management
o quality management
o good neighbour management
o environmental management
o risk mitigation
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Degree standard education in related subject.
Experience of working with and developing budgets.
Management [or leadership] experience in a service lead environment.
Must be confident in own abilities and be able to deliver in a dynamic environment.
Willingness to learn from both successes and failures.
Proven experience within a large accommodation environment with catering and bars
Excellent communication skills and able to strike up effective working relationships.
Desirable
Recognised and certificated 'Behavioural Safety Programme'.
Recent IOSH accreditation [or equivalent].
