Site Operative

Salary: Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Location: Crewe, CW1 4QQ

As a Site Operative at Wastewise, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our site operations. You will operate heavy plant and machinery safely and efficiently, supporting processing and production requirements while ensuring high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance at all times.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working a set shift pattern as agreed with the Site Manager.

What will you be doing?

- Carrying out daily site operations safely, efficiently and in line with company procedures
- Operating heavy plant and machinery in accordance with legislation, training and safety requirements
- Completing daily safety, maintenance and environmental checks
- Keeping the site clean, tidy and presentable at all times
- Ensuring equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored safely
- Reporting maintenance issues or repair requirements to the Site Manager
- Maintaining accurate logs, records and inventory information
- Supporting routine maintenance activities
- Working with management to achieve site objectives and targets
- Assisting with site supervision duties during periods of absence, where required

- Experience operating heavy plant and machinery, with relevant, valid certificates
- A strong understanding of health, safety and environmental standards
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and time management skills
- A reliable, flexible and proactive approach to work
- Willingness to learn and commit to ongoing training and continuous improvement
- A positive attitude with a strong focus on quality and safety
