Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Helping engineering teams move faster, safer, and smarter.
This one’s for the engineers who’ve been the last line of defence when things broke — and the first to step in when a platform needed rebuilding the right way.
You’ll be leading the charge on infrastructure and reliability, embedding modern SRE practices into a product-led tech environment. That means fewer fire-fighting sessions, more scalable systems, and a better developer experience across the board.
What you’ll be doing:
* Designing, building, and supporting cloud-native platforms (Azure, Terraform, AKS).
* Championing observability, SLOs, and incident management — not just as checkboxes, but as real, lived practices.
* Leveling up CI/CD pipelines with GitOps, security scanning, and progressive delivery (YAML, Azure DevOps).
* Coaching engineers and building internal tooling that helps teams ship faster without cutting corners.
* Driving cost optimisation and ownership with FinOps practices.
* Taking a lead role in on-call, postmortems, and proactive platform improvement.
What we’re looking for:
* Hands-on Azure experience (AKS, SQL, Cosmos, Functions).
* IAC - Terraform
* Knowledge of DevSecOps, monitoring tools (Datadog, ELK), and scripting (PowerShell/Bash).
* Solid understanding of networks, IAM, security, and Kubernetes operations.
* You know what a good internal platform looks like — and how to build one.
* GitOps tools like ArgoCD or drift detection.
* Autoscaling with KEDA or HPA.
Why this role?
It’s a chance to get stuck into meaningful platform work, not just keep the lights on. You’ll help shape how a growing engineering org thinks about reliability, speed, and safety — and leave your mark on the systems and tooling that power real products.
You’ll also get:
* £70–80k base + strong benefits package
* Remote, with occasional travel to Manchester
* Personal dev budget and health cover from day one
