Position: Site Service Engineer
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + bonus (OTE - 55,000)
Location: Somerset (commutable from - Weston Super-Mare, Bristol, Glastonbury, Trowbridge, Yeovil)
Shift: Monday - Friday (DAYS)
Overview
Zest are Seeking a proactive Site Service Engineer to oversee daily site services, manage contractors, ensure compliance, and support asset care. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will drive efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement. Due to the business this role has scope for progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain facility standards and compliance with regulations (Legionella, PSSR, LOLER, etc.).
* Oversee contractors, approve critical maintenance, and manage the PTW system.
* Monitor and update BMS, Cooling Towers, and Effluent Plant.
* Lead asset care, conduct root cause analysis, and support improvement projects.
* Ensure health & safety compliance and participate in safety initiatives.
* Collaborate with operational teams to enhance site knowledge and reduce waste.
* Assist NPD with trials and equipment solutions.
What we are looking for:
* Experience within Engineering, preferably in food manufacturing or site services.
* NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering; preferred: 18th Edition, BOAS, Legionella.
* Experience leading a team (preferred)
* The desire to succeed and drive the site services team.
