Location: Keighley
Hours:
• Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:35
• Friday: 07:30 – 12:10
Rate: £12.87 per hour
Contract: Temp to Perm

Overview:
Our client based in Keighley is looking to recruit a hands-on Site Services Operative to join their busy team in Keighley. This is a physically demanding role that involves a lot of walking, manual handling, and general site support activities. You will be part of a two-person team responsible for maintaining the site to a high standard and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain the Biomass Boiler, including regular ash removal (full training provided).
• Operate and perform basic maintenance on the Roller Crusher.
• Manage waste streams in line with ISO 14001 environmental standards.
• Carry out general site cleaning, following a structured monthly schedule.
• Perform site and perimeter inspection tours, identifying and reporting hazards or damage.
• Conduct regular equipment and safety checks, including:
o Weekly fire alarm testing
o Fire extinguisher inspections
o External cladding assessments
• Maintain outdoor areas including gardening, weed control, and upkeep of the Peace Garden.
• Perform FLT basic weekly planned maintenance.
• Complete Legionella checks and interact with the site's water systems (full training on legal compliance provided).
• Use the CMMS system (Shire) to log tasks and maintenance activities (training provided).
• Support basic DIY tasks, including painting and small repairs.
• Work closely with a teammate to cover each other’s holidays, sickness, and shared responsibilities.
• Be flexible and available for overtime as required.

Requirements:
• Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence – Essential
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work and long periods of walking
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed
• Basic DIY and painting skills
• Willingness to undergo training on various systems and procedures
• Good communication skills and a responsible attitude to safety and compliance

Desirable (but not essential):
• Experience using a CMMS or similar maintenance system
• Previous experience in a facilities, site services, or maintenance role
• Awareness of ISO 14001 standards
