Job Description

Role: Site Supervisor – Utility Scale Solar
Location: Epping, Essex
Start: ASAP

Mint Selection are partnered with a leading EPC contractor delivering utility-scale solar projects across the UK and are looking to recruit an experienced Site Supervisor to support the delivery of a major ground-mounted Solar PV project.

We're looking for candidates with a Mechanical or M&E background who have experience supervising subcontractors, maintaining quality standards and supporting projects through construction, mechanical completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  * Supervise mechanical works, ensuring safety, quality, HSEQ and programme compliance.

  * Coordinate and manage mechanical subcontractors.

  * Oversee piling, mounting structures, trackers (where applicable) and PV module installation.

  * Support QA/QC activities, including inspections, ITPs, snagging and NCR management.

  * Produce daily site reports and monitor progress.

  * Coordinate with Civil, Electrical and Commissioning teams.

  * Attend site meetings and resolve construction issues.

  * Support mechanical completion, commissioning and project handover.

Requirements

  * Experience as a Site Supervisor, Mechanical Supervisor or M&E Site Supervisor.

  * Mechanical or M&E background essential.

  * Previous experience supervising mechanical subcontractors.

  * Solar PV experience preferred; candidates from BESS, substations, power generation or major infrastructure projects will also be considered.

  * Knowledge of ground-mounted solar installation, QA/QC and CDM Regulations.

  * CSCS essential; SMSTS or SSSTS desirable.

  * Full UK Driving Licence.

Contract: Initial 6-month contract, Outside IR35.
