Site Supervisor / Chargehand Steel Erector
* Job Title: Chargehand Steel Erector / Site Supervisor
* Location: Central Scotland
* Job Type: Fulltime / Permanent
* Salary: £43,000 - £45,000

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Chargehand Steel Erector to lead a team on a high-profile construction project. As the Chargehand, you will be responsible for supervising steel erection activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of steel erectors on-site.
*
Read and interpret engineering drawings and steel erection plans.
*
Ensure all lifting, rigging, and bolting operations are conducted safely and in accordance with method statements.
*
Maintain high standards of health and safety, enforcing site rules and PPE compliance.
*
Coordinate with site supervisors, crane operators, welders, and other trades.
*
Monitor progress, report issues, and ensure timelines are met.
*
Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks as required.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a steel erector, with supervisory or Chargehand experience.
*
CSCS Card (Steel Erector or Supervisory Level).
*
CPCS Slinger/Signaller or relevant lifting certification (preferred).
*
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
*
Strong leadership and communication skills.
*
IPAF, PASMA, or relevant access equipment tickets (an advantage).
*
NVQ Level 2/3 in Steel Erection or equivalent (desirable).
