On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a number of Skilled CNC Machinist for a 12-month contract based in Annesley.
Job description - the role
Purpose of the role:
To support the manufacture and inspection of aerospace components using precision machining and inspection techniques
To ensure all products meet strict engineering, safety, and quality standards in line with technical specifications
To contribute to efficient shopfloor operations by working flexibly across multiple manufacturing processes
What you'll do as a Skilled CNC Machinist:
Carry out machining or inspection, and non-destructive testing (NDT) activities in line with technical instructions and engineering drawings
Set up, operate, and run programmes across a range of manufacturing equipment
Work across multiple shopfloor areas including machining, inspection, welding processes, furnace operations, and polishing
Process components such as blades, discs, blisks, and drums to required specifications
Collaborate closely with support functions to resolve production or quality issues
Maintain high standards of health & safety, ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times
Work flexibly across shift patterns including days, 2-shift, 3-shift, or 4-shift rotations depending on business needs
The skills you'll need as a Skilled CNC Machinist:
A recognised Level 3 qualification and Engineering Apprenticeship**
Time-served experience in machining and/or inspection within a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical instructions, and inspection procedures
Experience in manufacturing, machining, or inspection (aerospace experience desirable but not essential)
Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work varying shift patterns**The above qualifications are an essential requirement in order to proceed with an application for this role and no exceptions can be made.
