Job Description
1. Site Support & Material Handling:

Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment around the site.
*
Operate machinery like dumper trucks, forklifts, and telehandlers (if certified).
*
Transport materials using wheelbarrows, pallet trucks, or by hand.
2. Tradesperson Assistance:
*
Groundworks: Dig trenches, backfill, and compact earth. Assist with laying drainage pipes and kerbs.
*
Concreting: Prepare areas for concrete pours, mix concrete, assist with pouring, and finish surfaces (e.g., floating, tamping).
*
Structural Work: Assist steel erectors and carpenters with positioning structures and formwork.
*
General Trades Support: "Making good" for other trades – cutting materials to size, holding items in place, cleaning up after a task.
3. Plant & Equipment Operation (if certified):

Operate a range of machinery, which is a key skill that defines a 'skilled' labourer. Common plant includes:
