We are a leading regional further education provider dedicated to creating careers, not just courses. We pride ourselves on ensuring our learners acquire the relevant skills, knowledge, attitudes, and experience to thrive in their chosen industry. We extend that same commitment to our staff, offering an empowering environment where every team member is supported to inspire and create better futures. The Role As a Skills Coach in Early Years, you will induct, coach, review, mentor, monitor, and track learners on apprenticeship programmes. This varied role involves working on employer premises, on-site at our campus, and remotely. You will contribute directly to the delivery, assessment, and progress of apprentices, coaching them to achieve the skills, behaviours, and knowledge required to pass their apprenticeship to a distinction level wherever possible. Key Responsibilities: Providing high-quality support, information, and guidance to a dedicated caseload of apprentices. Delivering coaching, mentoring, teaching, learning, and assessment to meet the needs of employers and apprentices, adhering to awarding body and end-point assessment (EPA) standards. Regularly reviewing and monitoring progress using an online e-portfolio system to ensure timely gateway passage and EPA completion. Maintaining excellent relationships with partner employers, ensuring they uphold their commitments. Individualising programmes to meet diverse employer and apprentice needs. Embedding functional skills (Maths and English) into everyday delivery. Contributing as an active team member to quality improvement, standardisation meetings, and programme promotion. Collaborating with the business development/employer engagement team to identify new apprenticeship opportunities. What We Are Looking For: Qualifications: A relevant Level 3 (or above) qualification in the Early Years occupational area. Functional Skills: Maths & English at Grade 4/C or Level 2 minimum (or willingness to achieve within 6 months). Experience: Substantial experience in the Early Years sector and recent experience assessing in the workplace. Assessor Awards: An assessor qualification is highly desirable, though we will consider strong applicants without one. Sector Knowledge: Understanding of local sector businesses, Apprenticeship Funding rules, and the Apprenticeship Levy. Skills: Strong IT skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work autonomously to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Travel: A full driving licence and the ability to travel to various locations to support learners. Digital Mindset: We prioritise digital proficiency; you should be digitally skilled or fully open to training. Please Note: This post is subject to regulated activity.
