Job Description
Role – Slinger/ Yard Person
Location – Thetford, Norfolk
Working hours – Monday to Friday – Full time hours
Capacity of role – Temporary to Permanent position
Rate of pay – Up to £16.10 per hour
Our client is a leading manufacture who is currently recruiting for a slinger/yards person to join them within a temporary to permanent basis.
Candidates will have worked in a similar position previously.
Main duties will include –
To assist in the lifting and moving by mobile crane of steel plates working and communicating closely with the crane driver and machine operator to have material ready for the machines.
After processing these will need to be put away into appropriate stock areas making sure plates are marked appropriately.
Unloading materials from deliveries and putting away into the appropriate areas.
Maintaining the health and safety and cleanliness of the yard
Review existing storage locations , disposing of redundant stock
General labouring duties as required.
Candidate attributes –
Previous experience working in a similar position
Good communication skills – both written and verbal
