Slitter Operator – Steel Processing | Immediate Start | Dudley
Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts: Rotating Shifts (details below)
Salary: Competitive – Higher rates considered depending on experience
A well-established steel processing company based in Dudley is looking for an experienced Slitter Operator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator to secure a long-term role with a leading name in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Set up and operate steel slitting machinery
*
Accurately process steel coils to customer specifications
*
Perform quality checks throughout production
*
Troubleshoot and adjust machinery as necessary
*
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
*
Work efficiently to meet production schedules
Shift Pattern (Rotating):
You must be flexible to work on a rotating basis:
*
Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm (Monday to Friday)
*
Week 2: 2:00pm – 12:00am (Monday to Thursday)
*
During Busy Periods:
*
6:00pm – 6:00am (Monday to Thursday)
*
6:00am – 5:00pm (Monday to Thursday)
*
6:00am – 2:00pm (Friday)
What We’re Looking For:
*
Experience in setting and operating slitting machines (ideally in steel or metals industry)
*
Good mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills
*
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*
Flexibility to adapt to shift changes and overtime when required
