Job Description
Slitter Rewinder Operator
Leeds
Salary - DOE
Hours; 6am-6pm - 12hrs 3.5/4 days depending on workload with optional overtime
Company - A supplier of printed and plain, flexible packaging films and laminates
The position:
Operate machines and follow all slitting specifications and procedures
Running eldec, titan and BM slitters, slitting OPP film
Consistently produce product to the highest achievable standard
To complete all QC checks and complete associated paperwork to BRC requirements
To monitor the print quality at all times
To monitor the operation of the machine at all times throughout the slit run
Meet set targets and deadlines to dispatch orders to the customer on time in full
Actively contribute to a safe working environment
Skills:
Is an experienced machine operator/slitter
Preferably have experience of running eldec, titan or BM slitters, slitting OPP film
An understanding of how the machine works
Who can set up a machine ready for use
Ability to work on your own and with others
Thorough attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Good time management skills
Physical coordination and dexterity
Can remain in challenging physical positions for long periods of time
Lifting is a requirement of this position so being physically fit is a requirement
Can maintain a safe work environment
Follow established rules and procedures
Carrying out safety checks on the machine
Can cope with a fast-paced role; therefore, you must be able to work under pressure, while being calm and carrying out your duties
Have basic IT skills and can fill in production sheets
