Slitting Machine Operative
Leeds, LS9
£13.27 per hour, weekly pay and accrued holiday pay
12 hour shifts on a rota basis working days (7am-7pm) and nights (7pm-7am)
Temporary to Permanent
Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our Leeds based client to recruit a Slitting Machine Operative on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company who can offer stability and progression.
Duties of role:
* Responsible for running a slitting machine (full training provided)
* Ensuring that slitting jobs are prioritised and organised in line with the production schedule
* Operating the machine in line with site health and safety, environmental and quality standards
* Ensuring the work area is clean, tidy and obstruction free
* Ensuring all documentation is correctly filled out and signed on completion of job
* Communicating with the Slitting Manager and Shift Manager
* Ensuring that all quality standards are met
Person Specification:
* Previous experience in a production environment is essential
* Full understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in a production environment
* Reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic approach to work
* A keenness to learn new skills and to show a flexible attitude
* Competent communications skills both verbal and written
* Have a reasonable level of fitness as the role involves some physical activity e.g. lifting and bending
This is a full time role which will become permanent for the right candidate. Suitable candidates must be able to commit to the 12 hour shifts on a rota basis working days (7am-7pm) and nights (7pm-7am)
