Job Title: Software Integration Engineer Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire Rate: £33.88ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £25.26ph PAYE Employment Type: Contract (currently financed until 31.03.26) Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per Week Reference: J(phone number removed) Job Description: Senior SW Integration Engineer Electronics Engineering researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment, power electronics, radio, television and other communications equipment and systems, circuitry components and integrated circuits also analog and digital computers, processors, field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA) and associated firmware, control and test equipment. We are looking for a Senior Software Integration Engineer to join our Door Systems - Body Closures Department. Within this position you will be responsible for leading the technical development, delivery, and design of electrical and software engineering products for our client's new programmes. As a Senior Software Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for managing design verification test plans and ensuring that the Hardware & Software commodity plan is delivered according to schedule, budget, and quality standards. You will also be in charge of maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release System. Level: A Specialist Professional (P4) is a recognised subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include: * Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager. * Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals. * Problems faced are difficult and often complex. * Typical title will be as Electronics Engineer. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: * Gathering functional, diagnostic and cyber security requirements to define HW/SW technical specification and SWeSOW delivery of the HW/SW commodity plan to quality, cost and time, including maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release System. * Managing SW delivery plan and SW maturity with suppliers managing Change Request, SW/HW Releases. * Expenditure forecasting and the relevant supplier teams in support of delivery of the programme milestones. * Manage design verification test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign-off and support Engineering test teams with rectification of issues. * Ensure all appropriate client standards are met through-out design maturation and provide input into new feature development. What you will need: * Technical understanding of automotive mechatronic systems. * Experience in defining Hardware and Software engineering requirements and specifications (HW / SW / Cyber Security / Diagnostic). * Experience creating Hardware/Software test plans. * Working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, and change management procedures in the automotive industry. * Experience in managing suppliers.
