Job Description

Job Title: Social Housing General Manager Line Manager: Managing Director Position overview: You will be responsible for the end-to-end process from job received to job being invoiced. Your focus will be on the smooth process with all departments to ensure that works are completed to the highest standard, with effective communication and client interaction being of upmost importance. Experience within social housing or construction ideal. Managing up to 47 members of staff in the office. This positon is working in the office full time. Key responsibilities: Weekly Report * To produce weekly summary of the past week for directors/senior managers WIP Management * To ensure the daily/weekly review of all WIP folders in commercial department to keep all job status within current SLA agreements and no backlog Commercial * Working closely with commercial manager to ensure seamless work within the department * Ensuring all outstanding quotes/variations are raised correctly * Delivering on Procurement management * Supplier invoices * Job completion to standard Finance * Working closely with finance manager to ensure everything is working as it should within the department. P&L Management * To ensure all aspects of Profit and Loss are reviewed via the weekly Dashboard meeting and corrective action taken on areas of loss and positive areas for profit growth Recruitment * To work alongside HR to action targeted recruitment to fulfil any vacancies Team member reviews * All Direct Reports to have monthly 121’s and 12-month Performance Review Compliance * To review all relevant reporting and Dashboard information weekly to ensure compliance within KPI guidelines and WIP management Client interaction * To build trusted and mutually beneficial relationships with all MSP client base. . TMX / Agency relationships * To work alongside any agency in the recruitment process and management of sub-contractors Training development * All Direct Reports to be fully competent within their job role and have monthly 121’s and 12-month Performance Review * To oversee any new TM training programme to include thorough Induction and training relevant to their role Health and Safety * To oversee the Health & Safety welfare of all Direct Reports * To oversee the safe working environment of all Direct Reports including office facilities and fire procedures Your KPI’s that you are accountable to achieve and reviewed in line with your 12 Month Performance Review with your Line Manager are. People/Customer * All Direct Reports to be fully competent within their job role and have monthly 121’s and 12-month Performance Review * To achieve the monthly KPI performance of our key clients – PFP, Sage, Ability and Leaf Living Health & Safety * To ensure all Direct Reports receive the necessary training and competency within all their given areas of Health & Safety responsibilities * To demonstrate a pro-active leadership role in all aspects of Health & Safety Management Sales * Ensuring all variations are completed to standard and ensuring we maximise sales * Ensuring all quotes sent are built correctly on SOR codes and maximising the opportunity * Building relationship with clients to attract more work Profit * To ensure you achieve all your KPI targets and to evidence at your 12-month performance review, a pro-active leadership style that actively contributes to the yearly P&L performance of the Business Benefits: Pension 28 days holiday, including bank holidays. Hours - 45 hours per week 1 in 3 saturdays with day off in Lieu. Salary up to £53,000
