Summary of your role:
The Social Value Advisor plays a key role in developing, implementing, and delivering social value strategies across projects in your region, and supports nationally as required. The role ensures compliance with contractual obligations, supports engagement initiatives, and enhances the Danny Sullivan Group brand by fostering meaningful community and stakeholder relationships.
The advisor will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and local communities to drive the company’s social value objectives, support business development, and ensure alignment with industry standards and legislative requirements.

RESPONSIBILITES
Social Value Strategy & Implementation
Lead the delivery of social value initiatives across assigned regions, ensuring all contractual key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
Provide support for nationwide activities when required.
Develop and execute social value programs aligned with client requirements and industry best practices, ensuring these align with nationwide business priorities.
Support the implementation of new legislative and regulatory requirements affecting social value.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure social value is integrated into business operations.Stakeholder & Community Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, local authorities, and community organisations.
Organise and participate in community engagement events, workshops, and educational initiatives such as STEM activities.
Represent Danny Sullivan Group at industry events, client meetings, and stakeholder discussions to promote social value initiatives.
Act as a key point of contact for social value-related enquiries from clients and partners.Reporting & Compliance
Ensure all internal and external reporting is completed accurately and on time.
Monitor and report on social value KPIs, providing data-driven insights to senior leadership and clients.
Maintain records of community engagement activities and project outcomes for audits and accreditations.
Support funding applications and grant proposals to enhance social value initiatives.
Maintain suitable records of our business’ Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Process & Continuous Improvement
Work with business systems to enhance data collection and reporting capabilities.
Identify opportunities to improve social value processes, ensuring best practices are adopted across projects.
Communicating through the management structure
Support business development by providing insights on social value strategies for bids and tenders.
Contribute to award submissions and recognition programs that highlight the company’s social impact.

Social Value Delivery – Achieve or exceed contractual KPIs for social value initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement – Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners and communities.
Reporting Accuracy – Ensure timely submission of reports to clients and regulatory bodies.
Process Improvement – Drive enhancements in social value delivery and development for the growth of the business.
Business Contribution – Support business growth by integrating social value into commercial strategies.
KEY COMMUNICATION
Internal: Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Operations, Recruitment, Business Development, and People Teams.
External: Clients, Local Authorities, Community Organizations, Educational Institutions, and Industry Partners.
Meetings & Events: Weekly internal updates, business development discussions, community engagement events, and client presentations.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Experience in social value, skills development, or community engagement within construction, recruitment, or a related sector.
Alignment with our values and ambitions.
Strong understanding of government legislation, the Social Value Model and social value frameworks including National TOMs and Impact Evaluation Standard.
Experience delivering community outreach programs, employment initiatives, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Ability to develop reports and data-driven insights to measure social value impact.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a track record of engaging diverse stakeholders.
Strong organisational and project management skills to deliver initiatives effectively.
