Job Opportunity: Social Work Assistant 🌟
Location: Seaham, County Durham (with flexibility to work from other offices across the Durham area)
Contract: Initial 3 months, with possibility of extension
Working Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

We are currently seeking a committed and compassionate Social Work Assistant to join a dedicated team working to support children and young people in care. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining important family connections and helping children understand their life stories.
🔹 About the Role:
Supervise family time between children in care and their family members, ensuring safe, structured, and meaningful interactions.
Provide administrative support to the wider social work team, including:
Completing Strengths and Difficulty Questionnaires (SDQs) with carers.
Updating children's dental and health records on internal systems.
Complete life story work with children, supporting them to understand their personal histories and journeys.🔹 What We’re Looking For:
Experience working directly with children in a professional setting is essential.
Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to working with families.
You must be a car driver with access to a vehicle, as travel across the County Durham area will be required.🔹 What You’ll Get:
