Assistant Team Manager (Deputy Team Manager / Team Leader )- Children with Disabilities (Locum) - Buckinghamshire
 
Caritas Recruitment is currently partnering with a Local Authority in Buckinghamshire to recruit an experienced Assistant Team Manager to join their Children with Disabilities Team on a locum/agency basis.

Role Details

Position: Assistant Team Manager - Children with Disabilities
Location: Buckinghamshire
Contract Type: Locum / Agency
Rate: £42 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Arrangement:
Minimum 2 days per week office-based
Up to 3 days per week working from home

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Team Manager in the operational management of the Children with Disabilities Team
Providing reflective supervision and professional support to Social Workers
Assisting with case allocation, oversight, and quality assurance
Ensuring statutory responsibilities are met in line with legislation including the Children Act 1989, Children and Families Act 2014, and SEND frameworks
Supporting complex cases involving children with additional needs, safeguarding, and multi-agency working
Contributing to service development and maintaining high standards of practice

Requirements

Social Work England registration
Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Services, ideally within a Children with Disabilities or SEND team
Previous experience in a supervisory, Senior Practitioner, or Assistant Team Manager role
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, and multi-disciplinary working
Ability to work effectively within a hybrid working model
Right to Work in the UKThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Practitioner or Assistant Team Manager seeking a well-remunerated locum role within a supportive Children with Disabilities service, offering a flexible hybrid working pattern.
