We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to join of Children’s Workforce Development Team as a Social Work Consultant.
Our Social Work Consultants are Advanced Social Work Practitioners which will require a high-level of children’s social work experience, multi-agency working and expertise to:
* model high standards of social work behaviour, values, and relational practice.
* ensure the safety, well-being and achieving improved outcomes for children and young people and their families remains central to everything we do.
* create a culture of innovative social work practice that supports a continuous cycle of practice development and improvement, which, in turn, improves outcomes for children and young people and their families.
* develop and maintain highly effective key internal and external learning partnerships to deliver high quality social work education to students, post qualifying continuing professional
* development and learning opportunities to ASYE’s and experienced social workers,
* provide professional social work development in accordance with national standards and practice skills for social workers, regional and local policies, and procedures.
* support the implementation of the children’s services practice model.
* deliver the Workforce Strategy including the delivery of a social work academy
* To support and deliver the Family Safeguarding Model of Practice across Children Social Care
* There will be the opportunity to support with wider council training delivery including GCP2 Neglect tools and Multi Agency Family Safeguarding Training.
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
