Social Worker – Children in Care Team
Up to £38 per hour
BCP Council is seeking a highly experienced and committed Children’s Social Worker to join our stable, high-morale Children in Care Team. We are proud of our 'Good' Ofsted rating and offer a supportive environment focused on providing the best outcomes for our children and young people.
This is a Level 3 Social Worker role, requiring an experienced professional who can hit the ground running and manage a complex, diverse caseload.
Key Responsibilities
* Children in Care Expertise: You will have a proven track record in providing comprehensive and high-quality support to children and young people within the care system.
* Essential Experience (DFE Mandate): As per Department for Education (DFE) requirements for an L3 Social Worker, candidates must have a minimum of 3 years Post-Qualifying Experience (PQE) gained in a statutory English Local Authority, practising in a child and family context.
* Assessment and Communication: Strong communication and assessment skills are essential for effective care planning, relationship building, and multi-agency working.
* Caseload Management: You will manage manageable caseloads with the autonomy and support to deliver consistent, high-impact interventions.
* Professional Development: You will benefit from regular monthly supervision and be part of a team where you will have the satisfaction of contributing to a 'good' local authority.
Logistics (Non-Negotiable)
* Office Base: This role requires the candidate to be office-based in the BCP area a minimum of 3 days per week. Candidates unable to commit to this regular in-office presence will not be considered.
* Essential Car User: The candidate is required to be an essential car user and must have access to their own vehicle for work travel across the BCP area.
* Accommodation: Please note that no accommodation allowance is available for this position. We are ideally seeking candidates who are locally based.
