Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - CLA Team (Locum, Ongoing)
Location: Hull and surrounding areas
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Pay: Up to £35 per hour (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join the Children Looked After (CLA) team on a locum basis, with the opportunity for ongoing work. This is a rewarding role working with vulnerable children in care, helping to safeguard their welfare and support their development.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support children who are looked after by the local authority.
Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and review cases regularly.
Work closely with foster carers, residential homes, and partner agencies.
Attend meetings, court hearings, and contribute to legal processes as needed.
Provide emotional and practical support to children and families.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Person Specification:
Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration.
Proven experience working with children, particularly in a CLA or child protection setting.
Strong knowledge of social work legislation and child welfare frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
