Social Worker - Children in Care Contract: Permanent Location: Hereford Hours: 37 hours Salary: £35,235 - £39,513 (plus £5,000 market rate supplement per year £40,235 - £44,513) Relocation package up to: £10,000 Welcome payment: £10,000 Job Summary Herefordshire Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Children in Care team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and families within the Herefordshire area. The Social Worker will work as part of a supportive team, contributing to positive outcomes for children and young people in our care. As a Social Worker, your duties will include conducting thorough assessments, developing care plans, liaising with other professionals, attending court hearings, and advocating for the best interests of children. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and families, ensuring that their needs are met and that they receive the appropriate level of support. The Social Worker will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic support and guidance to children in care. You must be registered with Social Work England and you must have a full driving licence with access to a car.
