Social Worker - Children in Care - Medway Council Up to £41,956 + £5,000 Market Premia + £2,000 Annual Retention Payment We're working with Medway Council to recruit a Social Worker for their Children in Care (CiC) Teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team dedicated to improving the lives of looked after children through direct work, care planning, and permanency support. Benefits: Up to £41,956 salary £5,000 market premia £2,000 annual retention payment after 1 year's service Hybrid working (minimum 2 days per week in the office) Ongoing CPD and reflective supervision Opportunities for development within a supportive team About the Role: As a Social Worker in the CiC team, you will manage a caseload of looked after children, carrying out direct work, care planning, and life-story work. You will prepare and review SMART plans, contribute to permanency planning, and ensure the child's voice is central to all decisions. You will collaborate with professionals, carers, and family members to secure the best outcomes for children. About You: Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England ASYE completed or in progress Experience working with children and families in a statutory setting Understanding of care proceedings, direct work, and permanence planning Skilled in assessments, report writing, and multi-agency working Confident using the Signs of Safety model or willing to be trained This is an excellent permanent role to develop your skills within a team that values stability, positive outcomes, and high-quality relational practice.
