Job Description
Social Worker job for a Social Worker to join the Children in Need Team in Devon.

RATE: Up to £42 per hour (dependent on experience)
TYPE: LOCUM Social Worker
TEAM: Children in Need Team
HOURS: 37 hours per week
HYBRID: (part office / part remote)
Key Responsibilities / Purpose:
* Lead peer supervision and reflective practice, providing coaching and mentoring across Children’s Social Care.
* Manage a full caseload of complex cases, ensuring high-quality assessments and care plans.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance through auditing and performance monitoring.
* Promote best practice and learning from Serious Case Reviews.
* Participate in the Principal Social Worker Group, influencing practice standards and service improvement.
There are also additional roles within the Safeguarding Team, Care Proceedings Team and Additional Needs Team.
Social Worker Requirements
- Proven experience in working with childrens services
- Current enhanced DBS Disclosure
- Ability to attend the office weekly and work effectively from home.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
- Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people
